Instructor Agreement Form
This INSTRUCTOR AGREEMENT for the personal services of an individual to teach outside of BRAAR's Classrooms are to be described below and are made between the Blue Ridge Association of REALTOR® (BRAR) and the undersigned instructor, hereinafter called the “Instructor”, for the personal services of the Instructor.

Instructor must schedule the class with BRAR at least two weeks in advance of class date to allow staff to set up class in database and ready forms for use.

3. Liability:

(a) Instructor agrees to hold BRAR harmless from any loss, claim, damage or liability of any kind involving an employee, officer or agent of the Instructor arising out of or in connection with this agreement.
(b) This contract shall be construed under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. In the event of a controversy or dispute hereunder, the parties designate County, Virginia as the appropriate jurisdiction and venue. This document represents the entire understanding of the parties, and contract shall not be modified or amended unless in writing.

4. Cancellations:

(a) Either party may cancel this Instructor Contract without obligation to the other if cancellation notice is received in written form at least 5 days before appearance date or Brokerage cancels with the Instructor.
(b) If, due to illness, accident, or other causes legally known as Acts of God, Instructor is forced to cancel a Instructor Contract, neither party, nor any representative shall be liable for any payment.

5. Instructor Course Materials:

The Instructor agrees to present the course as it is written and approved in its entirety through the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR). The speaker also agrees to not duplicate or distribute course materials to any parties as the course materials are property of the Blue Ridge Association of REALTORS®.

6. Entire Agreement and Notice:

This Instructor Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.

7. Executed Contract Signature:

This Instructor Contract shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their successors and assigns, upon due execution by both parties. The undersigned represents that he/she is a representative authorized to sign on behalf of the Instructor and to enter into this Instructor Contract.

8. Information to Follow:

Communication with you will be important. You may be receiving information from DAAR in the future on the following: Description of course, A/V requirements, Directions to location, Payment information, Snow/Inclement Weather Policy

9. Student Rules & Regulations for CE/PLE Courses

All students attending the course and wishes to receive continuing/post license education must sign in with license #, full name, and email address. Student must fill out the student form with payment information. Each student filling out these forms will pay $10 per course. Students must be on time and not miss more than the allotted time per course:
1 Hour course – cannot miss more than 10 minutes; 2 Hour course – cannot miss more than 10 minutes; 3 Hour course – cannot miss more than 15 minutes
Pre-licensing Courses (Broker & Principles & Practices)
All students attending the course and has completed 60 hours for Principles & Practices of Real Estate that wishes to have their information uploaded to PSI for scheduling to test, must initial the sign in sheet each day of the course with full name, and email address. Students must fill out the PSI student form and provide a photo (head shot). Students must be on time and not miss more than the allotted time.
